For me, Miles Maguire, associate journalism professor at UW-Oshkosh, first made the connection between blogging and the first American journalists. But this video says it very well. I am a journalist at heart (though never actually), and the fact that newspapers (metropolitan dailies) as we know them are dying worries me.  I hope there is power and not just noise and discord in the voices of many.

The other thing I like about this little video is that it is a great exercise in compare/contrast, a skill my students have difficulty with.
